“Empowering Stories”. What does that mean exactly? It means that the characters in my books stand up, they stand up for what’s right, what’s fair and find a way to make things better in this life.
Like Charlie, the main character in Guarding Rachel, I am a martial artist. I’ve been studying and practicing and teaching for almost 30 years. These days, with age and a cranky knee, I teach Tai Chi. I work daily to make my little corner of the world a brighter and better place.
Empowerment is a strong word and one of my favorites. You don’t have to do much to empower yourself or someone else. Be kind. Defend the weak. Look out for others. Make your corner of the world a better place.
What do you do to empower yourself and others? I’d love to know.
